Sanborn Regional High School All Clear After Lockdown

After a lockdown earlier today, Brian Blake, the Superintendent of Schools for the Sanborn Regional School district, posted this message on the Sanborn Regional High School's Facebook page:

"At approximately 12:15 PM on Monday, 30 September, school administrators were notified of a potential security issue involving a weapon outside of the school building. The school took immediate action by notifying the Kingston Police Department, and placed the school into a lock down. The Kingston Police Department, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies responded, deemed the school to be safe, and determined that no weapon had entered the building. We take the safety of our students very seriously and we will continue to work with our local authorities to ensure that our campus is a safe place for all."

Community members and parents of students who attend the Kingston school expressed their thanks and relief in posts following Blake's update.
